Essential website session

A first-party session cookie protects forms against forged submissions, remembers your optional referral-count choice and keeps a generated introduction link associated with the browser that created it. It is not an advertising identifier and does not connect to your Zamily family account.

Your appearance preference

The light or dark website theme is stored locally in your browser when you choose it. You can clear it through your browser’s site-data controls.

Optional referral counts

On a public introduction link, you can allow or decline anonymous page-open and Google Play-click counts. Declining still lets you download. The link creator sees totals, not names, email addresses, locations or signup details. These count events, not unique people or completed installs. Referral records expire after 90 days.

You can change this choice on the introduction page. Turning counting off stops future counts; previous aggregate counts cannot identify your individual contribution.

Protecting link creation

To prevent abuse, the server keeps a keyed hash of the requesting network address and short-lived creation counts. These expire after one hour and are separate from the optional referral counts. The raw network address is not stored in this limiter. Normal hosting and feedback security logs remain subject to the privacy policy.

External services

Opening Google Play leaves Zamily. The fictional demo loads map software and basemap tiles from their providers; those requests expose normal network information such as your IP address to those services. The demo does not request your device location. Read OpenFreeMap’s privacy information and unpkg for provider details.
